ELEMENT IN NATURAL AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT
This module aims to help us understand the significance and importance of the Natural Environment and Built Environment.
The Nature Journal
For assignment 1A , I was given a task to watch a nature documentary "Earth 2007" make a nature dialogue based on the documentary that I have watched.
I was required to present factual information, personal experiences, observation and thought on floras, faunas, settings, nature phenomena, etc.
This assignment required me to observe, do extended research, and reflect on what I’ve learned from the documentary.
The content requirements were mainly split into 3 parts, namely

Introduction

Experiencing nature (documenting the elements of nature)

Appreciating nature (based on my personal reflection)
Nature Dialogue
In assignment 1B, each group have to discuss on the natural setting that assigned by the lecturer.
The task requires the group to do research about scientific facts, characteristics, adaptations, positive/negative impacts of human activities and how to overcome the issues. After the we done the research on the setting given we were also required to record it in a discussion manner, with infographics to support our statements.

My 'X' Hometown
For this assignment, I had to recall, study and to virtually revisit my hometown to visualize the ambience/environment, built components, social and culture through tangible and intangible components.
My hometown I had to choose a specific area of my hometown and study detailed through tangible and intangible components. I choose Penang and georgetown as my topic.
For the third requirement, I had to choose my favourite part, and for the conclusion, I wrote down ways in which my township could be improved.
Public Space Intervention
In this assignment, we worked in a group of four. We have to choose an existing public space for this assignment. Then we study about the tangible and intangible component and put the data collected in canva poster.
Next, our group generate ideas of public space file given and make some adjustments on it.intervention, and discuss about what should we choose. We apply the ideas in the sketchup
Bhutan Virtual Trip
We were to watch two videos on a Virtual Trip to Bhutan and write up a reflection on what we've learned from a backpacker exploring and introducing Bhutan and a Bhutanese speaker promoting his country's Carbon Negative achievements in a TED Talk.
Kowloon Virtual Trip
We were to watch 4 videos about the Walled City of Kowloon and write a reflection on how important the knowledge of the built environment is as well as describing how we felt about a scene from the Walled City that has had a significant impact on us.
