P1A: SITE ANALYSIS & DESIGN RESPONSE
Preliminary Studies, the first project, is a preliminary exercise that uses the "Townscape Assessment" exercise to look into the architecture and character of a location (town or city) in order to create a sense of place. at order to provide chances for responsive architectural design within urban context and place-making guided urban space at the given site, the goal of this project is to assess the character, identity, and uniqueness of a town and urban area. In this way, by evaluating the "content" of the urban setting inside the proposed location, the project introduces students to the principles of urban planning.
